Hi Friends!
I hope your February has been off to a solid start. I must admit that mine has been confronted with back to back challenges. I’m extremely thankful for my health and the joyful moments I experience through it all. But to tell you things have been amazing, would be a bold lie. I’m usually a smiley person and smile even when I’m caught crying (I know I sound like a complete nutcase). Through the smiles, I’ve had my own set of tests and trials lately. In a nutshell, my car was in a fender-bender collision (police report determined it was the other driver’s fault CHA-CHING!), thankfully my daughter, cousin and I were all safe. Then the next week my daughter was out of school for about a week with a viral infection, though she tested negative for the Flu and Strep. Kirk missed his patient rounds and I canceled a client review meeting. The list can go on about all of the minor setbacks. Through it all, I feel like Rocky in the ring getting punched but not knocked out. See, Rocky had Adrian and Mickey in his corner pushing him through. I’m so thankful I have the One constant thing that sees me through it all causing me to be the victor, both arms in the air like my boy Rocky, winning all the time. What’s winning to me: a spirit that’s still thriving and won’t give up!
I’m so thankful for my relationship with my Heavenly Father carrying my family through every bump in the road. James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing
On the other side of the trial is a peace that surpasses everything we know. In the end, we will be entire, complete and those trials won’t affect us like before. When we lean in, lean on God and contend with all the outside forces contending for your peace. We overcome.
I’m 32 Weeks pregnant! We have about 8 more weeks until we meet our beautiful son! His nursery is still my makeup room and I’m not even worried. I have one more sonogram and I can’t wait to see how he’s grown. By those powerful kicks, I know he’s doing great.
My little sunshine. I’m so glad she’s doing better and breathing better. She was the most joyful little kid at the children’s hospital. That was her first trip to the ER and she loved it! She kept asking if the docs can take the baby out lol.
