Happy Sunday! The sun is shining bright and we’re off to church and then I’m slipping away for brunch with my girls. I attended a really encouraging, knowledge sharing panel and jewelry/accessories sales event yesterday (I’ll blog about it.) It was so uplifting and fun to meet different entrepreneurs, creatives and career women who happened to have busy personal lives. They shared about their struggles and how they were working for free before the brands began to hire them.
I’m in a new season in my life where I am mostly freelancing for brands and doing my own work. This takes a lot of courage, sacrifice and support. I appreciate my circle of support who encourage me to keep pushing, never to quit, to remember the talent I have and to be fearless. Those words help me to choose joy and love everyday. It’s not an easy feat because the negative thoughts keep bombarding your mind. But, we have power over our thoughts when we choose to speak power and faith filled words of hope. In the morning choose joy, because where you are is only for a season. Let’s learn to enjoy the journey.
